David and I worked together on the incubation of an enterprise blockchain platform at BCG Digital Ventures - a pithy effort, to say the least. While he led all things "design" (which he did at an elite level), David's uncanny organization and communication skills allowed him to play a broader and integral role. His deep understanding of engineering process and software development enabled him to both improve team communication, and overall velocity (and he codes!). Beyond his functional prowess in designing and building great products, David brings a rare blend of work ethic, passion, and sincere desire to do great work. You can't help but wish everyone shared those traits, and I'd be happy to work with him again.

I remember vividly when you joined Endpoint and how much of a game-changer that was. And then the whole design system stuff was just an absolute godsend. I strongly feel you are an incredible talent that does not come around often. What I hope for the most for you is that you end up in an environment you feel energized and motivated by. Any company would be lucky to have you, but I think if you find the place that lights a fire in you, there isn't a limit to what you'll be able to do.

I owe much of my growth as a designer, creative, and mentor to David. Within months of joining the design team, he was able to add much-needed structure via meeting norms, documentation, and process while placing importance on the creative aspect of design. His continued advocacy of the design cohort, finding opportunities to showcase the work we were doing and making us feel valued, really helped to solidify our team’s presence within the company.

I really appreciated the freedom David gave us to explore when designing, while providing insightful and actionable guidance from start to finish. Another example of David’s ongoing support was looking at each person’s growth as a whole, not just within the org but as individual creatives, making sure to highlight the areas he saw as our strengths while nurturing the areas we displayed a need for growth. Amongst the team, he encouraged designers to share their thoughts on process or design changes, always remaining respectful of our voice, and making sure each person’s voice was heard.

On a more personal note, David’s continued support and encouragement helped me overcome many of my insecurities as a designer, and his continued belief in me and my skillset has helped me become a better mentor as well. These characteristics of a leader are things I will carry throughout my career. He truly is the best manager/mentor/leader I’ve had in my 8+ year career, and if given the opportunity to work with him in the future, I would join him in a heartbeat.

David is the very best UX Designer I have worked with. He has a great attitude and breadth of skills. For us, he was designing for the latest web UX toolkits, working closely with our engineering team. He has some development experience, which helped a lot in the team interactions. He stayed current on the trends and standards from multiple vendors and incorporated that into his work. He managed our small team of UX designers. He was also happy to contribute to corporate branding, signage, the corporate website, etc. - he always thought about all the design aspects of the entire company.
