Clink interactive audiovisual installation

ClinK blends science and art, incorporating the tangible with the more cryptic physical properties of our world – like the way we interact with sound, light and space. The large interactive audiovisual installation consisting of 30 speakers in a handcrafted dome construction with 360° projection enables its visitors to explore modulations and movements of sounds and visual objects by simply moving their bodies. Each person is, for a brief moment, the architect of their own tiny universe.

Primary forms interactive installation

Primary Forms is a graphic study of some of nature’s beautiful, dramatic and recurring forms. Twists of smoke. Swimming fish. Rotating galaxies. Collapsing stars. Storm winds. Can we capture the essence of these forms in simple maths or do we just strive to see the familiar? The piece was first shown as a large-scale interactive installation at Day For Night festival in Houston, 2015.

Responsive hexi wall installation

Thibaut sld has designed the ‘hexi’ responsive wall, a series of 60, mounted panels, which react to the movements of nearby people. the graphic designer’s self-initiated project comes as a collision of interaction, geometry and art, as the complex mechanical installation induces an aesthetically engaging result. the hexagonal panels situated on the surface of the interior space use real-time data collected from motion-tracking technology to decode and interpret the gestures and actions of a person within close range. using this feedback, the kinetic wall behaves in sync with the proximate participant; walking passed, jumping near or waving a hand in the direction of the ‘hexi’ wall induces a undulating swell and surge of independent motion. like a vision out of a science fiction film, mesmerizing waves of kinetic flow materialize in a rippling unison, countering the gesture performed by man in close proximity to the installation.
