Voxon VX1 3D volumetric display user interface live YouTube Demonstration. Really cool example of some of the 3d projection user interfaces available. Most of these displays have been seen in movies but with hardware becoming more accessible we are seeing these interfaces become reality at a faster pace.

Experimentation is the essential to any art form. I’ve been loving the creative videos Apple has been putting out highlighting the experimentation used to create some of the recent wallpapers and tests behind the iPhone camera.

Text animations - creative coding

I stumbled upon this amazing project that is a reminder of the creativity that I often find most inspiring. Simplicity at the core. Clean text, black and white, and a simple animation are the perfect visual recipe every time. Amazing project by Andreion de Castro on Behance. Most of my old flash projects utilized simple text animations very similar (example, example).

Kinetic data sculpture

That field of shimmering pixels is combined with light projection-mapped onto the installation surface to visualize real-time data of the traffic in the Shenzhen area – the hexagon is divided into sections corresponding to the 9 city districts.
